Enzo Poggioni entered the world of restaurants at a very early age, and over the years he has developed his approach with both humility and ever-increasing passion...

On September 20, 1986, under the supervision of his father, Carmelo, Enzo opened the doors of Ristorante Galileo. Cinzia, who grew up in and around restaurant kitchens before earning a diploma in fine arts, soon decided to put her good taste and natural courtesy at the disposal of Enzo's new venture.

Although the "Galileo" started out as a pizzeria, the owners' passion, attention to detail and all-round dedication made it inevitable that the pizzeria would make the leap to fine dining.

Over the course of the past two decades, the restaurant has been expanded and has seen the addition of a highly respected wine cellar, much to the delight of those who dine there.

These days, the "Galileo" often sees the participation of Enzo and Cinzia's children – Ilaria, Marco and little Giulia – all of whom are engaged in their studies, but are never too busy to lend a helping hand.

 

This seems, to us at least, to be the best way to guarantee a bright future for the restaurant business we have built up.
